Manual Handling – Train the Trainer

We have the following Manual Handling Courses available in 2022.  
 

Manual Handling Three Day Train the Trainer courses:-

  • 20th, 27th September and 11th or 13th October 
  • 26th October, 2nd November and 16th or 17th November 
Due to Covid restrictions the three day manual handling train the trainer course currently comprises two days learning from course materials and an assessment day at the Hospital training room from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Candidates will still need to be allocated three training days to complete the course. Course materials will be e-mailed directly by the trainer and an assessment date will be allocated at the start of the course.

This course enables the member of staff to cascade manual handling training to other staff members.

The course is delivered by the Quality, Safety & Compliance Department at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

The Course is very cost effective and reduces the risk of accident claims from new members of staff

Manual Handling – Refresher Course

 

Manual Handling Refresher courses (one day course):-
  • 27th September 
  • 5th October 
  • 1st December 

Courses will have fewer candidates and they will be required to wear appropriate PPE when practising patient handling techniques and observe social distancing at all times.

There will be a PowerPoint presentation for delegates containing reading and an activity to complete before attending which will be sent when places are confirmed.
Annual one day refresher course following on from the 3 day course

Time: starts at 9.30am and finishes 11.30am
