Digital Care Records Guidance and the Funding Available

Having a DSCR will save time, result in fewer mistakes and compliance issues and will also enable future connectivity to your local Shared Care Record (ShCR), the aim of which is to join up health and social care.

Below, we cover the available funding and how to apply.

But, if you are unsure going to a DSCR system is right for your is right for your business, watch this video to get more of an overview of what Digital Social Care Records are and the benefits these tools can bring to your organisation.

Following the publication of CQCs guidance on digital social care records and their importance in achieving good outcomes for people, the video below was produced to bring together people from Digitising Social Care and CQC to discuss DSCRs in more detail. Mark Topps, a registered manager and co-presenter at Caring View facilitated the conversation.

Purchasing the Right Digital Care Record Software.

In order to access available funding, you must purchase a software solution from an ‘assured solutions list’.

‘Assured solutions’ have undergone a rigorous tendering and selection process to ensure they will meet your needs. They have attained a minimum level of capability and meet appropriate standards on interoperability, cyber security, and accessibility.

Most suppliers offer additional services, such as medicines management, so you may well decide to look at the other solutions they offer for long-term integration rather than simply just the care planning solution.

Click the link below to see a list of the current assured solutions on the Digitising Social Care website. You’ll see very detailed information about each solution and an accompanying demonstration video.

The NHS has now specified that DSCR solutions must be able to interface with GP Connect

Under each supplier, click the ‘Interoperability’ link to see if it does interface with GP Connect.
