Apprenticeships and Diplomas in Adult Care: Register Your Interest

Care providers continue to face significant workforce pressures, from recruitment and retention to training, progression and succession planning.

To support you, we are pleased to share an opportunity to register interest in adult care apprenticeship and diploma programmes delivered by Quality of Care Limited.

These programmes are designed to help care providers develop skilled, confident and qualified staff while supporting career progression across a range of roles.

Available programmes

Quality of Care can support providers with:

  • Level 2 Apprenticeship in Adult Care
  • Level 3 Apprenticeship in Adult Care
  • Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management

Together, these programmes create a development pathway from frontline care roles through to senior care, leadership and management positions.

Why consider apprenticeships and diplomas?

These programmes can help care providers:

  • Develop staff with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver high-quality care
  • Support new starters entering the care sector
  • Upskill existing employees
  • Improve staff retention and loyalty
  • Create clearer career progression routes
  • Prepare staff for senior care, leadership and management roles
  • Reduce training costs
  • Build a more stable and capable workforce

A cost-effective way to develop your team

Apprenticeships are also a highly cost-effective way to train and develop staff.

In many cases, 95% of the apprenticeship training cost is funded, meaning employers only need to contribute a small percentage towards the programme.

The apprenticeship may also cover elements of mandatory training that employers would otherwise need to pay for separately. This means care providers can reduce training costs while developing skilled, qualified and confident staff.

Level 2 Apprenticeship in Adult Care

The Level 2 Apprenticeship is ideal for new entrants to the care sector and existing staff who need to develop core care skills.

It supports staff to build the essential knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to deliver high-quality care.

Level 3 Apprenticeship in Adult Care

The Level 3 Apprenticeship is designed for care staff who are ready to take on more responsibility.

It can support progression into roles such as Senior Care Worker or Team Leader and covers more advanced areas of care practice.

Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care

The Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care supports practitioners to develop advanced knowledge of care principles, safeguarding and person-centred practice.

It is particularly suitable for experienced care staff who want to deepen their professional knowledge and take on greater responsibility within their service.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management focuses on developing leadership abilities, operational management and strategic decision-making skills.

It is ideal for those moving into, or already holding, senior roles within adult social care, including managers, deputy managers, team leaders and those with operational responsibilities.

Who can take part?

The programmes may be suitable for employees aged 16 and over, including both new hires and existing staff who need a qualification for their current role or future progression.

A common misconception is that all apprentices must complete Functional Skills. This is not always the case and will depend on each learner’s existing qualifications.
