The Staffordshire Association of Registered Care Providers was founded in 1985, and represents Care Homes, Care Homes with Nursing and Domiciliary Care Providers in the independent sector. SARCP was founded to represent the views of the independent care sector, provide support and guidance, up to date information, such as changes in legislation, contracting, funding and training to our members. Over the years SARCP has grown and now represents in excess of 200 Members throughout the County in the following areas-Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle, Staffordshire Moorlands, Stafford, Rugeley, Burton-on-Trent, Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth, East Staffordshire and South Staffordshire.
We represent private and voluntary care providers who offer long and short term care, home care and personal and nursing care for the over and under 65s’ in the categories of elderly, mental disorders, physical disability and learning disabilities; We also represent care providers that specialise in caring for those who are terminally ill and need palliative care, require intermediate care and those with drug/alcohol dependence.
As an association we regularly meet and work in partnership with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Local Authorities, and North and Stafford and Surrounds Clinical Commissioning Groups.
In 2002 SARCP became an umbrella body for the Disclosure and Barring Service, and we now receive and process in excess of 3,000 applications every year on behalf of members and non-members. Assisting care providers with the cost of training is a key part of our function, and we have been successful in distributing Skills for Care funding since 2002. If you are a care provider in Staffordshire and are interested in becoming a member of SARCP, please see the contact details below.
You can find details of homes and domiciliary care providers within this website; we also offer a free service, which is available to the general public that gives details of homes that have vacancies.
